Vogue Italie — West meets east at Hotel O, Ellen von Unwerth, Lella Scalia

The pieces of the collection – from the little jackets to the skirts, from the dresses to the Bermuda shorts, to the pants and precise overcoats – mirror this contrast between aggressiveness-harshness and poetry-femininity.

The fabrics themselves too carry weight, but are not weighty: silk, cady, silk satin, rigorously double and softly folded. And the play of alternations does not stop even in the colors, that range from black to pastel shades, passing via dark green, with slight touches of red and an immersion into white that is so bright that it comes close to mother-of-pearl.
