Marking the french designer’s first foray into boat design, Ora Ito shares images of a new superyacht designed for Perini Navi. Measuring 56m (183.73ft) in length, the concept is set to join the 63 superyachts already built and delivered over the last 40 years by the Italian manufacturer.

The collaboration brings together the innovation, minimalism and efficiency of both Ora Ito and Perini Navi. Founded in 1983 by Fabio Perini, the Italian shipyard has since pioneered the Superyacht market with increased on-board living space and reduced crew requirements. presented during the last Monaco yacht show, this latest design offers an updated interpretation of the manufacturer’s iconic 56m flagship sailing yacht.

‘the starting point of our collaboration is the confrontation of my architectural and design approach with the philosophy of perini navi. I have always strived to reduce material and functions in favor of maximum efficiency. my drawing is very close to the constraints of a boat. on a 56m hull, living space becomes an obsession. I tried to link each part harmoniously to give the sense of a boat made in one single piece, elegant and impactful.’ sums up Ora ito. this sleek addition, which will take shape in 2020, is to be formed using using aluminum and metal, just like the existing perini navi fleet.
