A ground floor on paved yard, in an authentic “hotel particulier” of the Marais. Under classified exposed beams dating back to the XVIIth century, a Japonese gold leaf folding screen (from the same period) stands opposite, framed by a Japonese armour and an XXL picture from Kolkoz. The life-sized giraffe of the sculptor Jean-Francois Fourtou and Xavier Veihan’s mobile dominate the whole room and set the tone.
Ora-ïto mixes cultures and periods. He uses his interiors as laboratories for testing his own collection of creations. Family furniture as well as travel souvenirs mixt with the latest collections of Steiner, Frighetto and Zanotta or even Arborescence, the last collection for Christofle. From Space Invaders passing by Keith Haring and Vasarely, he associates his work with the work of his artist friends. His interiors are places full of life, completely flexible and in permanent motion.
