Parquet Rug – STEPEVI

Ora-Ito’s ac­­tu­al in­­spi­ra­­tion were the off-cuts in the fac­­to­ry, pie­ces of car­pets which were ready to be thrown away. He cre­at­ed/de­signed a new prod­uct, by rein­ven­t­ing th­ese use­­less pie­ces which lit­er­al­­ly had no val­ue for any­one!
Pro­­duc­­tion waste was tran­s­­formed in­­­to an Ora-Ito rug. This is why Ora-Ito calls this an “e­­co­log­i­­cal & vir­­tu­al de­sign pro­cess.”
