For his latest project paris-based designer Ora Ito has teamed up with entrepreneur Marc Simoncini to create the Angell bike.

With a stylish rounded frame and weighing just 13.9 kg (30.6 pounds), the electric bike offers a smart and effortless way to get around the city.

The idea for the bike came to Marc Simoncini in the spring of 2017 when he asked ‘what if we created the best electric bike in the world?’ after enlisting the help of Ora Ito, the pair went on to create a beautiful streamlined design made from aluminium and carbon.

The design features a touchscreen on the handlebars, allowing users to keep up to date with weather forecasts, air quality information, battery levels, speed and calories burned. The Angell bike also boasts a removable battery weighing under 2 kg and hyperbolic indicator lights.

As well as being one of lightest electric bicycles in the world, angell also offers users three different riding modes: free ride, navigation and sport, with a maximum speed of 25km/h and an autonomy of 70km. For the peace of mind of the future owner, the battery has an automatic lock system protecting it from theft and recharges in less than two hours.

Available in black or silver, the Angell is available now for pre-oder at the retail price of 2690 euros (tax included). a number of additional accessories are available to purchase, such as: mudguards, wooden baskets, helmets, anti-pollution masks, etc…
